KONDIMA
It all began with the desire to produce something healthy: In March 1923, Dr. med. Leopold Engelhardt, a food hygiene specialist and physician from Bremen, founded Kondimafabrik AG in Karlsruhe.
He deliberately departed from the path of his father, who had become known and successful beyond the borders of Germany with a tobacco factory. However, Leopold did not want to produce cigarettes or cigars, but deliberately “something healthy.” So, in Karlsruhe, he began manufacturing high-quality raw materials from almonds and nuts for the confectionery and bakery trades, as well as the confectionery industry.
Today, 100 years later, KONDIMA traditionally produces exquisite couvertures, marzipan and nougat, and much more.
